Plans and what each includes
Starter, Publisher and Business compared: price, members, staff, newsletters, paid tiers and themes, and what happens when you reach a limit.
Blogaly has three plans. Each starts with a 14-day free trial, no card needed, and is billed monthly in US dollars. You choose the plan when you create your site.

How the limits are counted
- Members counts everyone signed up to your site, free and paid.
- Staff users counts Administrators, Editors, Authors and the owner, plus invitations not yet accepted. Contributors don’t count, so you can invite as many as you like on any plan. On Starter, the one staff seat is you.
- Newsletters counts active newsletters. Archived ones don’t count.
- Paid tiers counts the tiers you create. The free tier doesn’t count.
- On Starter your site uses the Source theme, and you can’t upload your own. See upload your own theme.
- On Starter you can’t connect Stripe, so there are no paid memberships. Free members and newsletters work as normal.
When you reach a limit
Nothing is deleted and your site stays online. Admin stops the one action that would go over, and tells you why. For example, inviting a fourth staff user on Publisher shows a message that your plan’s limit has been reached.
- Staff, newsletters, tiers, integrations, themes: you can’t add another, or upload one, until you remove one or move to a bigger plan.
- Members: readers can keep signing up. But once you have more members than your plan allows, you can’t publish new posts or send newsletters until you’re back under the limit or on a bigger plan. Keep an eye on your member count as you approach it.
One site per account
Each account has one publication. If you try to create a second, the dashboard says so. If you need more, contact us.

Changing plan
You can’t change plan yourself yet: the dashboard has no option for it, and your plan’s limits are set on your site when it’s created. To move up or down, contact us with your site’s address and the plan you want. If the billing page ever offers to switch plan, don’t use it: it would change what you pay, not what your site can do.
