Delete your account

There’s no delete button yet. Contact us and we’ll delete your site and account. Export your data first.

Who can do this: The account owner, writing from the email address on the account.

You can’t delete your account or your site from the dashboard yet. We do it for you on request. Cancelling your subscription on its own doesn’t delete anything: the site is paused and kept, so you can come back.

Before you ask

Export your data while the site is still live: content, members and images. Once it’s deleted we can’t get it back for you.
If you take payments from members, cancel or move their subscriptions in your own Stripe account. Deleting your site doesn’t touch them.
If you use your own domain, point its DNS records somewhere new. The domain itself stays yours.
Cancel your subscription so you aren’t charged again.

Ask us to delete it

Your site’s address, for example northern-ledger.blogaly.uk.
That you want the site and the account deleted, and that you’ve exported anything you need.

What gets deleted

Your site, with its posts, pages, members, newsletters, images and settings.
Its connection to your custom domain, and its analytics.
Encrypted backups of the site are kept for 30 days in case of a mistake, then deleted for good.
Your dashboard account.

Records we have to keep by law, such as invoices, may be held for longer. Stripe keeps its own billing records under its own policy.
