Cancel, and take your data with you

Export your content and members first, then cancel your subscription. Your site is paused, not deleted, so you can come back.

Who can do this: The account owner. Exporting needs the site’s admin; cancelling needs the dashboard.

You can leave whenever you like. Do things in this order: once the subscription ends your site goes offline, and you can’t export from a paused site.

1. Export your data

While your site is still live, download your content, members and images from its admin. See export your data for each step. Keep the files somewhere safe.

2. Sort out paid members

If you take payments from members, their subscriptions are in your own Stripe account. Cancelling Blogaly doesn’t cancel them. Decide what happens to them first: move them to your new platform, or cancel them in Stripe and tell your readers.

3. Move your domain

If you use your own domain, it stays yours. Point its DNS records at your new host when you’re ready. You don’t need to remove it here first. See change or remove your domain.

4. Cancel your subscription

  1. Log in at dash.blogaly.com and select Manage billing.
  2. On the billing page, choose to cancel your subscription and confirm.

If you don’t see an option to cancel there, contact us from the email address on your account and we’ll cancel it for you.

What happens next

  • Your site stays online while the subscription is active. When it ends, the site is paused: offline, but with nothing deleted.
  • Your dashboard then shows paused — your subscription ended; restart it to bring the site back. To come back, select Restart my subscription and pay. Everything is where you left it.
  • Your dashboard login keeps working. To have your site and data deleted for good, see delete your account.
